First of all, thank you to the developer for the great plugin.
I admit, I am worried too as there have been no updates anymore and the plugin could become a potential security risk.
Is the developer still there? Is the plugin maintained?
I hate to ask the question: If not, what are the alternatives?

Someone I know emailed the developer but no response. The plugin is breaking the post saving feature in Gutenburg editor causing “updating failed” issues. There is no plugin as robust as this one in the repository that covers the whole site, but the others mostly deal with posts (and pages). You can try any of the others.
