Ability to support dynamic user queries

I’m looking at using this plugin and was not able to determine if it can support my use case.

What I would like to do is to allow users to specify their interests and then dynamically display news content that meets their criteria. Is this plugin able to support that scenario? (i.e., query news sources by dynamic user criteria for multiple users).

For anyone who is doing this are there any limitations that you have found (i.e., performance, etc.)?
