About categories acting up

    It seems that the parent categories cease to function properly if I add too many child categories. One or two children is ok, the parent category can hold that much in the drop down menu but if I add more than that the parent category vanishes from the category menu list and the child categories shows up in it instead. I’ve looked into the various topics about the categories at Codex but since I’m not a code buff in any way it doesn’t tell me much about how to solve this problem or where to solve it. If some one could please explain in a comprehensive way why the categories are behaving in this manner I’d be very happy indeed.

    How do I fix this?

    Perhaps something in your current theme is limiting your child categories? Have you tried switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    Looks I was being an idiot, nothing more or less. Got it solved now but thanks for the input.
