About Permalinks

    Hi all,

    Live website – permalinks -> “Post name”

    Cloned sites on local PC created with Duplicator;

    The permalinks are automatically changed from “Post name” to Plain?

    Why?

    Is there any way to change them back to “Post name”

    LIVE or local PC doesn’t matter how you set/change permalinks: go to SETTINGS => PERMALINKS and set to whatever you want and save changes.

    The only thing that matters is that you have Apache’s mod_rewrite active and WordPress has permission to update your htaccess file… or if you’re using some other web server (eg Nginx), you can implement the equivalent rewrite rules for your particular web server software.

    Hi George,

    I can change the permalinks, one by one, but it takes long time to finish.

    There are parent menus, sub-menus, internal links etc.

    Is there an easy way changing all of them globally?
