As that plugin is hosted here on the WordPres repository then yes it’s 100% free. Use and modify as you like. 😉
Any other “premium, “pro”, or commercial version that is hosted somewhere else (not on the WordPress repository) may not be free but head over to their site and ask them there.
As Jan kindly mentioned the version here at WordPress is our free lite version, you can use it as you wish, you can even edit the code to your own liking.
The lite version is limited in some features, like you can only have 3 Access Levels. But the plugin is fully functional so you can use it to maintain your membership and subscribers. 🙂
