    Worse than any other option out there for what it is supposed to do, plus nobody ever asked for this, why does the WordPress team not work on actually CMS related things?

    I understand your frustration, however there has been a growing need for more layout abilities within the editor. Gutenberg builds on the paradigm of blocks to provide for that need. The plugin is being improved and updated every two weeks.

    If you have any specifics about where you’d like to see more improvements, please let me know.
