Accents problem – any help please

    Hi,
    Just move my site for a new hosting company and everything went well.
    Except for the pages and post texts (as they all are in Portuguese) I get strange characters in their place.

    For example:
    instead of word “conteúdos” I get the word “conteúdos“

    Is there any fix for this?

    PS: I just keep all the default settings on Duplicator.

    I wouldn’t say that one is more correct than the other, if I remember each had a different approach for how they solved it and each issue was slightly different than the other. I would try “1” first and see if you get results…

    I used the method “1”, but the file database.sql was already on the utf-8 encoding (on Notepad++ show UTF-8 w/o BOM).

    You may have to tweak the DB settings. I think that was mentioned in the second post…
