    Hello,

Firstly thank you for all your efforts in providing us with this plugin, it’s the only one I have seen that provides so much.

I have managed to get the plugin to work with the banner showing, preferences setup with the GA consent disabled as default and also GA cookies. When I click ‘accept terms’, it all runs but the cookies are then not enabled.

Do users willingly have to go into preferences and enabled that consent and the cookies, or should clicking ‘I accept’ then enable those cookies and consent?

Just wondering because if it’s they have to willingly go into the preferences and enable then I expect I will see no traffic data due to people not being bothered and instantly smashing the acceptance button like we all do on other sites.

    Many thanks,

    John

This is a common request and it is coming for V2.
You will be able to select the cookies as required, checked, unchecked.
That means that if you select unchecked, users will need to go in their preferences, mark it and then agree.
If you select checked and they just quickly press I Agree on the bar or the preferences window, everything that is checked will be set.

V2 is coming today. Just finalizing some testing.

    Thanks @fclaussen, appreciate the response.

That’s brilliant, thank you. I was just checking I had set it up correctly before I went any further.

I will be finalizing GDPR most of the evening for my clients (UK) when V2 is released, so I will try and help with support questions if I can.

    Keep up the fantastic work.
