• Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding access permissions to downloads I upload with WPDownloadmanager (WPDM). Namely I have a site with different editor roles in the backend. But the files should basically be available in the frontend for all visitors of the site for free and without login. Now it is that when I am logged in as administrator on a file post, I can set the “Package Settings” window at the bottom to “All Visitors” with the “Allow Access” setting, thus allowing downloads for all visitors. If I am logged in with one of the roles I created with AAM Plugin and which are based on the Editor Role, this “Package Settings” window unfortunately disappears and the setting cannot be made. Unfortunately, this also makes the files uploaded by editors not downloadable for normal users. Even if I duplicate and publish a file previously uploaded by the administrator with the setting “All Visitors” as editor, this Access setting is changed again, so that not all users can see the file.

I already checked the settings of AAM within Metaboxes/Widgets and everything is visible here, but the box does not appear when logged in with the role. I think this might probably be adjustable with capabilities, but I dont know how to get to know the name of capability of the plugin. Do you have any idea how to fix this? Does anyone have experience with this plugin combination?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards
    Ronja
