access problems after upgrade

    after a recent website upgrade I’m unable to access the posts and pages in Visual mode (HTML and onsite versions are fine). I also can’t access my cPanel. I’ve contacted HostGator 3 times and they say this is a WordPress problem. The e-mail I received had the old URL for this site that was transferred nearly a year ago.

    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.
