Hello. Great plugin so far and am on the trial period, leaning toward buying a license. I made a custom user role called report admin. All is good except I need this role to be able to upload csv files. I made a dashboard that includes the apps I made. Tried a link directly to the URL of of the uploader in data explorer. But an error message is seen when the user clicks the link indicating they do not have access. Help will be much appreciated.

    Hi @quentong,

    Thanks for the post!

When you say you want the user to upload CSV files, do you mean to a table via an app, or directly in the Data Explorer?

If it’s the latter, your custom role must be granted administrative rights, as this feature is restricted to Administrators.

We hope that helps. Let us know if you have other questions.

Definitely via an app. I prepared a dashboard for the user to give just the functionality needed.

    Hi @quentong,

Thanks for the response! If the user can see the app, they shouldn’t have any issues uploading to it.

Is the column set up to accept any files? If you want us to take a closer look, please send us a message via Contact | WP Data Access.

    We’ll wait for your email!

Thank you Kim. Users can edit data in the table but not upload a csv. Searched and searched but could not locate a setting to enable csv uploads to a table. Just sent an email.

Thank you for your help on this Kim. I hope this is added as a feature. In the meantime, I made a csv uploader using PHP which does the job. The one that is part of the plugin is much nicer.
