Access to Old WordPress URL

    I would like to know if the old wordpress.com url still be worked when I change to a custom domain. For example, my wordpress.com url is cathylau.wordpress.com, after I change it to cathylau.com, will the old wordpress.com url still be accessible?

    Are you configuring your domain name on a wordpress.com installation ?
    If so, please ask your question on the wordpress.com forum.

    Or are you migrating your website on as self-hosted “ww.wp.xz.cn” installation ?
    If so, if you use your wordpress.com url, then you will browsing your wordpress.com site. In fact You will have two different websites
