    Hi,
I use version 4.0.0 of the give plugin and I recognize that when I am loading my website that I can the a request to wp-json/wp/v2/users/me?context=edit&_locale=user with a HTTP-Error 401 in the browsers dev-tools. The error disappears when I deactivate the give-wp plugin.

Is this normal behaviour? Should this URL not onl be requested for loggedin users?

    Regards

    Hi folks,

Good day! Thanks for writing in.

We’ve investigated it, and we’ve been able to replicate this on a test site as well. I wrote a bug report for it in here — https://givewp.featureos.app/p/givewp-shouldn-t-be-having-console-errors-while-logged-out.

I don’t have a timeline for it or a workaround, but I’ve added this post into the report so that we can update it when we’ve been able to resolve the issue.

It’s not causing the scripts to fail, but we’ll be discussing this with the developers so that they can take a look at it.

With that said, I’m marking this one as resolved, as we’ve been able to see the issue. If you have further questions regarding this, please post them in here and I’ll hop back in to assist.

    Thank you for using GiveWP!

    Have a lovely weekend.
