• I did a boneheaded thing, I admit. I intended to delete the WP-Cache folder and instead deleted the Cache folder. Is there any way short of reinstalling WP that I can set up a new Cache folder?

I have a site backup but it’s saving tables rather than folders I believe.

  • If the cache folder is being used I believe WordPress will recreate it.

However, unless you specifically enable the cache it will not be used – it is not created as part of the install but as a when it is needed.

Since I just disabled cache via wp-config.php, then losing the Cache folder shoudn’t be a problem I guess.

    Thanks for clarifying.
