Accidentally deleted comments!

    In trying to get rid of copious amounts of comment spam (the captchas seem to have stopped working), I accidentally deleted 5 or 6 legitimate comments from my site. Google doesn’t have a cache of them.

    Is there any way to retrieve them?

    Been there done that! I’m guessing that you’ve not got a backup of your WordPress database? Depend on when the comments were made you might actually find that your host has (via cPanel) a daily MySQL database backup.

    If you can get hold of that then you could selectively restore – would take a bit of SQL fiddling but can be done.
