We checked and “Enhanced Media Library” plugin indeed changes the settings page to the effect that Javascript does not run. We have updated the code so the problem will be fixed in the next release. In the meantime please use the workaround to the real media settings page like you describe.
Thanks for letting us know!
Hello guys,
It’s Nadia, an author of the Enhanced Media Library. The plugin changes media settings page indeed, but we’d love to do our best in order it doesn’t prevent other plugins from enhancing settings as well. Please let me know if you need my assistance with the issue.
Best,
-Nadia
Javascript looks at the window.adminpage property. For the regular settings page this is ‘options-media-php’. For the Enhanced Media Library plugin the customised settings page returns ‘settings_page_media’. You may be able to test for a fix as well, the problem occurs in 2.1.0 of our tiny-compress-images plugin. If you can set the window.adminpage property to the same as the regular settings page does, then this issue might be solved as well, but we have no idea of the impact of such a change in your plugin and the resulting behaviour.
Hi there!
I am very sorry for so long silence. We are testing the fix right now, it will be included to the next update of Enhanced Media Library in a few days.
I am a huge fan of TinyPNG, btw, I’ve been compressing my images for years with it. Didn’t know that there is such a great plugin for WordPress. I will add it to our compatibility list in. Thank you for that great solution!
Best,
-Nadia
