We tried creating a custom field of ‘text’ in ACF and published the post. When we then ‘cloned’ the post, and checked the draft, it did copy the text ACF field with the same value.
Would it be possible for you to provide us with more details of which specific field groups or ACF fields you’re looking to duplicate or clone?

I am talking about duplicating a page
For example:
I have a field group ‘home field group’ that targets a page ‘home’
If I duplicate the page ‘home’, the field group does not automatically show.
I have to go the the field group and point it to the ‘home’ page copy.
I was wondering if we could duplicate the ‘home’ page and have the copy automatically have the field group linked.

I believe this is just how the logic in ACF works? So I checked in a local environment and made a new field group and set the condition on Page Type being the homepage. If you duplicate your current homepage, that page would not be the homepage just yet, so it wouldn’t show the fields unless you made the duplicate the homepage of your site, or if you change/add a condition to add the duplicate to it.
It should however copy the content of the custom fields on the duplicated homepage, so if you change the conditions to include the new page, it would show up, right?

Yes, the fields do show up after linking on ACF’s end. I was wondering if Duplicate Post could automatically point the field group link to the copied page too, so there is no need to go to field group and point to the new page after duplicating.
