ACF Extension keeps deactivating itself

    I’m having an issue where the ACF extension keeps deactivating itself on our staging server. It doesn’t seem to happen on the live server, which is odd.

    It’s unclear what triggers this, since usually I’m being contacted by my client confused why their import didn’t work. When I check, the extension is deactivated.

    Not sure if this is related, but I also get a WP error notice email after performing an import:
    An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 148 of the file /nas/content/live/[site]/wp-content/plugins/wp-all-import-pro/models/model/record.php. Error message: Uncaught Exception: Undefined field name.

    However, nothing appears to be wrong when I check the site after receiving this notice.

    Hi @marincarroll,

    I’m having an issue where the ACF extension keeps deactivating itself on our staging server. It doesn’t seem to happen on the live server, which is odd.

    There are only three possible reasons that the ACF Add-On would deactivate itself:

    • You install a really old version of WP All Import
    • WP All Import is deactivated
    • Or, the Advanced Custom Fields plugin is deactivated

    Is it possible that any of these things are happening when you see the issue?

    Not sure if this is related, but I also get a WP error notice email after performing an import:

    This error usually happens when an import is terminated by the server, the session is lost, and the person running the import tries to continue it. Restarting the import fresh typically fixes it.
