I’m using Relvanssi with WooCommerce. My products have a custom field called Component SKUs (component_skus). This is a text string field with values like: 1290905,1290900

For indexing behavior I have Custom Fields listed as “Some” and this field name included.

For searching behavior I have “Use Relevanssi for admin searches” selected.

Currently, when you search for one of these values like 1290905 the product does show up in the front end search, but it does NOT show up in the admin product search bar.

I would love to search this field in the back end as well and would appreciate any help with this!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Relevanssi doesn’t reliably work in the WooCommerce admin product search. It works on some sites, but on some sites it doesn’t, and in the last ten years or so I haven’t been able to figure out why that is so.

Relevanssi is mostly designed to be a front-end search tool, the admin search is something we offer as a side benefit but it’s not a big priority. The best solution is to use the Relevanssi admin search (Dashboard > Admin search): that works reliably.

Thank you so much for your quick response! That is really interesting. I didn’t even know about the Admin search page – I will use that for now and I will probably end up with a bulk editing plugin that works with ACF.

I love the way Relevanssi is working on the front end for my sites.
