• Trying to use meta field block in a Kadence content type template

I add the block and for Field Type I select “ACF – Advanced Custom Fields”

“rest api” is enabled for both the post type and the field group.

From videos, I expect the field names to appear under the “Field Name” section but nothing appears.

Any suggestions on what might help make this work?

    Thanks

    Hello @sringwood,

Are you using the Pro or free version? Only the Pro version can display the suggested names and field values in the template editor. The free version does not have this feature on the template editor; however, it still shows the field values on the frontend. If you need further assistance, please provide more details about your use case.

    Best regards, Phi

Hi, I’m actually having this same problem with my pro version – none of the ACF fields are displaying on the backend. I’m trying to display fields as buttons but that option is not appearing. The REST API is enabled for both the post type and field group, just like the original poster.

    Hi @rainyh,

If you are displaying a meta field in the Template Editor (FSE), you need to choose a specific value (not an auto value) for the meta type setting. If you are displaying a post meta field, then the meta type should be ‘post’. Then, input the ID of a sample post that has sample data for the field. Once your field name appears in the list of suggested names, MFB will be able to display it in the template editor. You can learn more about it in this video guide https://youtu.be/5VePClgZmlQ.

Pro customers have premium one-on-one email support. In the future, if you need any support, you can create a premium support request for a faster response from us.

    Best, Phi.
