• Hi developers πŸ™‚

I’m having an issue (I think) with a theme that I’m developing.

    Background / current situation:

I’m working for a tire wholesaler, therefore, I’m developing a custom WP theme with integrated Custom Post Types via ACF in order to show rims/alloy wheels and tires.

As you might know, wheels and tires always have a lot of data.

To show these data, I have already used Tablepress + ACF:Tablepress + ACF:qTranslate to show the relevant tables in the frontend as well as in the backend UI. The integration of all this previously worked in an earlier project.

The only difference is that I’m integrating the plugin Advanced Custom Fields into the new theme (running it in Lightmode [hidden for endusers]).

(The theme is being distributed via .GIT remotes on 10 different websites, therefore I need to integrate it into the theme. Otherwise I would have to go through each site and import CPT’s which is something I don’t want)

OK, sorry for the long introduction, my problem:

When I’m trying to activate ACF:Tablepress, I’m getting an error that ACF needs to be installed and activated.

I could fix this by simply installing it – twice – once in the theme and as a plugin.

I think it makes sense, that this solution doesn’t make sense πŸ˜€

If you do have any advice on how to fix this, I’d pretty happy.
Access in order to see/debug this is no problem.

    Thank you in advance

    Kind regards

    Toby
