Activating Jetpack get HTTP error 403
-
Monday I have migrated from one host to a new host. The migration has gone well however, I can not activate my jetpack. Every time I click the activate button I receive a “HTTP error 403”.
Thinking it might be my firewall I contacted Cloudflare my provider of that service. They sent me directions to do WAY over my head and a message that said something to the tune, “CF and jetpack should be an issue.”
So for kicks and giggles I deactivated WordFence to see if that was an issue. Let the deactivation to take affect and tried to activate my jetpack. Same thing error 403.
So then I deleted the jet pack and reinstalled it and the same thing happens.
I contacted my new host, and they do not have any idea why it was not working and sent me the same CF article that CF sent me. The biggest issue of the article is that the steps do not match up with my version of CF which was just installed about a month ago. I guess I could just pause CF but why should I have to do that and risk an attack.
I figured that someone else has had to of had this issue in the past I did search for the error and fix but to no avail that did not involve writing code. I am 64-years old and just helping a friend manage the WordPress part of his site.
There must be an easy fix for this.
