Activating plugin means not able to create new posts
-
Hi, Yoast Team, I used your fantastic pluging for a while.
I am currently experiencing a critical issue on my WordPress website related to Yoast SEO. The problem is preventing me from creating new posts, and I’m seeking your assistance to resolve it promptly.
Description of the Problem: When attempting to create a new post in the WordPress admin dashboard (
/wp-admin/post-new.php), I encounter the error message “The page was not found.” This issue persists despite various troubleshooting steps, including checking the.htaccessfile, deactivating plugins, and inspecting server logs.Steps Taken:
- Verified the correctness of the URL for creating a new post:
/wp-admin/post-new.php. - Checked and adjusted the
.htaccessfile for potential issues. - Temporarily disabled plugins, including Yoast SEO, to isolate the problem.
- Verified server logs for any error messages or relevant information.
The issue persists, as long as the plugin is activated and I would greatly appreciate your expertise in identifying and resolving the root cause. If there are specific configurations or settings within Yoast SEO that could contribute to this problem, please guide me in adjusting them accordingly.
WP version: 6.4.2
Yoast version: 21.8
But could have been lasted longer already, undetected.
- Verified the correctness of the URL for creating a new post:
