Activation Error

    Hi everybody,

    Installed the plugin but can’t activate it.
    I get the following error

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/voxmedia/domains/voxmedia.uc.pt/public_html/wp-content/plugins/academic-bloggers-toolkit/academic-bloggers-toolkit.php on line 69

    Any ideas?

    Hi @nunoemeneves,

    I recently increased the minimum PHP version requirement to 5.6. It appears that your server is using a PHP version under 5.6, so the fix would be to update PHP.

    Side note: PHP 5.6 is at end of life status right now so I would recommend updating to the latest version of PHP which is PHP 7.2.

    Any version of PHP < 5.6 is an extreme security risk so I really can’t stress it enough that you should absolutely consider updating, with or without the ABT plugin!

    than you so much for your reply.
    Unfortunately this is an institutional server and updating tends to be slow…

    Let’s hope they do it soon so I can start using your plugin.
