Activation kills my CSS
-
when I activate NGG my CSS stops working for my site!
Also with NGG activated I can not activate or use Jetpack.
with jet pack activated I cannot access the options menu of NGG, I can access the existing galleries and they display ok on my site.
Is there now an issue between Jetpack and NGG?
NGG ver 2.2.10 free version
I have uninstalled and re installed

@wadoadi – We’re not aware of any conflicts with Jetpack with the current release of NextGEN Gallery. This definitely sounds like a conflict with another active plugin and/or your current theme, it may just be manifesting in how it affects Jetpack and NextGEN Gallery.
Have you tried deactivating all of your plugins, clearing your browser cache (and site caches if you are using a caching plugin), then reactivating the NextGEN plugin? Followed by Jetpack?
If this fixes the problem then it was likely one of the deactivated plugins that was causing an issue. Now, retrace your steps activating each plugin and re-checking to see if the problem returns. If it does then that last activated plugin was probably the one. Keep reactivating and in most cases it is also best to keep checking after each plugin, sometimes there may be more than one plugin on a site that will create an issue. If you do find one (or more) plugins causing this problem we would greatly appreciate your feedback on them so the developers may address them as soon as they can.
Also to note, in rare cases it may be the theme itself that is causing a conflict so while you have just the NextGEN plugin activated you might consider temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress Twenty series themes and see if this corrects the issue as well.
If the problem still persists after all of this we would still want to know, even more so, as we will still want to sort out the issue and may need additional details.
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.
I have tried clearing the cache and disabling all plugins and I changed the theme to twenty fifteen standard version.I then re enabled NGG and all is ok. i can access the Gallery-other options page and the new media button in WP works too. CSS loads on all browsers on both PCs Ipads…
however going to http://www.clearprop.co.uk/xmlrpc.php doesn’t work as soon as I enable NGG it stops working It returns a blank page.
Then I Activated Jetpack but it fails to connect with a red error message stating it cannot communicate and to check http://www.clearprop.co.uk/xmlrpc.php.
Disable NGG and jetpack communicates and activates.
however with both enabled my CSS doesn’t load on most PC’s I have 2 W10 PC and chrome on 1 of them does work! but IE and Chrome on the other doesn’t also Ipad and iphone doesn’t work, a friend tried their Apple Mac and that also didn’t load the css. However as soon as I disable either plugin (Jetpack OR NGG) everything else works including CSS!
@wadoadi – Unfortunately we’re not able to reproduce this issue based on what we are seeing from your description. I would suggest looking at possibly testing with anonymous browser windows as well as testing the various Jetpack modules/settings you are using.
We do not test exhaustively with Jetpack although as a rule we also do not see any direct specific conflicts with it either.
Thanks!

ok thanks for looking, i have circumvented the main issue of my css not loading by installing another css plugin!
@wadoadi – Thanks for the updates and your planned work-around. Unfortunately without being able to reproduce its hard to suggest much more at this time.

Hi Again, i’m still trying to get this to work! š
i’m currently caught in a catch 22 situation!
With Jetpack enabled I cannot access the NGG other options page all other pages are working.
if i disable jetpack i can access it and make the setting i want, however i then need to disable NGG to connect jetpack and the settings in NGG are lost…
Can i manual make these setting changes?
If you would like i’m happy to privately share the admin access to the site?

Well I have this fixed on one site, upgrading from PHP5.2 to 7.x has it fixed
the other site after upgrading PHP still didn’t work but have traced this down to Uix Shortcodes plugin disabling it and it works enable it and the Other option page doesn’t show in Next gen.
@wadoadi – Thanks for the update.
