I’ve been tasked with developing a small intranet for my company. Nothing crazy, just a small WordPress site with a couple pages for HR links, news, and marketing materials. I could host the site internally, or use a GoDaddy or other third party.

I want the site to be as accessible as possible, which would include mobile, which makes me lean third party so that devices not on our network could still get to the site (namely mobile phones). However, I don’t want users to have to login every single time or I’ll never get the adoption I want, which makes me lean towards something that leverages Active Directory for login, which would be easy if hosted in-house.

Can you do both? Build a site that is off premise but still leverages in-house AD? Is there a better way to do this? Just looking for some advice from people who’ve been down this road before. Thanks!
