Active tab selected based on current page

    Hello,

    I’m using ERT as a menu for a website I’m currently building. Each tab being a section with a list of links that opens under the current selected tab. When a link selected, the page is loaded and the first tab is reset back to the first tab.

    The behavior I am trying to achieve is that when a linked is opened from the 3rd tab for example, when the new page is loaded, the 3rd tab will be the one that is selected on the page loaded.

    (example) If from the homepage, the “Interior Design” tab is selected and the “Beyond Furniture” link is clicked, when the “Beyond Furniture” page loads, the top “Interior Design” tab should still be activated.

    Hi,

    We got your point, there is one solution for your problem but its bit lengthy

    1. First of all give custom class to your tabs
    2. Now we have to write some js which will select the tab based on the custom class and the page selected.

    you have to include the following js at the end in footer

    jQuery(document).ready(function(){

if (window.href.location == 'http://www.example.com/testlink') {
    jQuery('.customeclass').find('li:eq(2)').tabs('show');
}
});

    This is just to give you some idea how you can do that, here you can use javascript regex, or any other logic to get the url string to match and select any tab

    Hi,

    First of all thanks for your plugin. I believe I have the same problem, I have a contact form in the 4th tab of my page, when theere is an error on submision (ie. wrong email) page reloads to show error message, but focus is back to first tab so user might think form was sent. Can you please be more specific on how to approach this issue? thanks
