    I am not sure when this started or what could have triggered it as I’m just noticing it a few days ago, but under site health, I am getting the following error from ActivityPub:

    “Your author URL https://myauthorurl does not return valid JSON for application/activity+json. Please check if your hosting supports alternate Accept headers.”

    I even deleted my website and database, reinstalled WordPress with only the default 2025 theme enabled, and only had ActivityPub installed and get the same error. I’ve also noticed that some platforms on the fediverse are no longer updating with my posts which I’m guessing is caused by this error.

    Please advise.

    Closing this. I deleted and republished my website and the error went away. Never found out what caused it.
