I installed ActivityPub on my wordpress blog and checked with my hosting support and they let me know the plugin should work okay. The blog is mapped to /var/www/html by the hosting provider. I get no errors and I checked web finger results and I get valid json back. The only listing for @mpmilestogo@mpmilestogo.site is at a much earlier time before I moved to Cloudways hosting. There are no errors on the health check and I’ve published both a test blog and a regular post. I use mastodon.art for my mastodon instance.

I’m not sure what else to check since there is no info in the site health record I can use to diagnose. Cloudways uses DigitalOcean VPS servers but bundles support and services around them. I get the feeling something is not right with the hosting support. Before using a self-hosted VPS at DigitalOcean with wordpress that I installed, I had no problems.

Thanks for any ideas or additional things I could check. I installed the ActivityPub plugin and web finger and both are active with no errors showing up.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hey @mpmilestogo can you explain what exact issues you have?

HI. I do not see any recent posts at all when I use my mastodon instance and search for the username and domain. The posts that show up are from July 2022. Back then I had activitypub installed on a self-hosted wordpress install. I’ve written a lot of blogposts since then including some very recently. I do not know if this is an issue with the plugin or with how search works on mastodon.art which is my instance. It seems I should see more recent blog posts.

hmm… the problem might be, that the public key on your site changed with the migration and that mastodon has cached the old one and now blocks the activites, but this is only an assumption… I will think of a way to debug that…

Hey! Good news! The activitypub feed is working now. I tried commenting and boosting one of the available earlier blog posts and I noticed now that the latest post I wrote just now showed up. Really happy to see it working with my hosting provider. Thanks @pfefferle for the plugin and working with me.
