Is it possible to post to and as your own ActivityPub enabled WordPress instance using a third-party fediverse app (Mastodon, Pixelfed, etc.)?

Many times I am on the Fediverse using mobile native apps and I wish to interact as my WordPress instance so that all conversation originates / involves my official website. Is this possible?

Is there a workflow for this?

(I’d like to avoid the need to leave a native app with a copied link, log into my wordpress backend, create my post. Which is a lot for conversing without friction.)

Perhaps I’m overlooking something obvious?

Hey @xizor sadly all Major Platforms are having their own proprietary APIs for Client interactions and no network uses ActivityPub for that. And that is very sad, because it is possible to do so: https://www.w3.org/TR/activitypub/#client-to-server-interactions

We are focusing on ActivityPub with this plugin, so it does not support any proprietary API, but there is a little project by @akirk that enables you to use Mastodon Apps to post to your WordPress blog and it is also compatible with this plugin 🙂
