Add an extra link into breadcrumb

Hi

I would like to add in an extra link into teh breadcrumb – only on a certain page and the link will be dertmined by a db lookup.

Is there anyway I can insert an extra link into the breadcrumb. Not sure if one of the filters would work as I cannot find an examples.
