Add border around the post area and decrease menu-post spacing

Hi all,

I’m very unfamiliar with CSS & WordPress, and I’m trying to:

1) Add border to the post area (Include sliders)
2) Decrease to spacing between the menu and the slider area.

In case I wasn’t clear enough…

Any help will be highly appreciated.
