Add description underneath thumbnail

    Hi,

    Is there a way to show the description of the image below the thumbnail? Showing the title isn’t good for me as I sort my images in order of the title, and therefore each title corresponds to a code defining where it should be in the order of the images.

    Alternatively a better way to sort images by custom order would be helpful, as I have tried to drag and drop as well as individually type the number of the order of where I want each image. However, after each save the order changes back to something random. Changing the filenames is a very last resort solution, as I have >300 images, and re-titling and re-adding them would be very time consuming.

    Thanks in advance for any help, it will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,@nickwatson99,

    We would like to kindly inform you that there is no option to display the description under Thumbnail. However, you could sort images by order and write information about the image in Title, and it will display underneath of Thumbnail. You can write as much information in Title as you want, i.e. there is no limitation for text.

    Thank you for the detailed reply, it is much appreciated. An ideal solution would be to sort the images by order, but whenever I try to manually change the order, either by entering the number or by dragging each image to the desired location, I apply the selection and the images return to a random state or order. Is there a more effective way of altering the order of the images?

    Also, one more thing which would be really helpful; is there any way I can set an option to be able to show more than 20 designs on the add galleries/images page?

    Plese go to Add Galleries/Images above of the page you will see Screen Options where you can set up your desired number of displaying images.

    Thanks! This really helps me out when sorting external links and changing titles.

    I’m still having issues with ordering. I’m trying to create an “Image Browser” alternative page with the same order settings as my main portfolio, with the images being sorted by title. However, the order is always random and doesn’t adhere to the order of the titles a-z. Seems to work with the thumbnails galley, but not the image browser version.
