Add Google Tracking

Hi,
we’re using your plugin to catch a bunch of old links that are still active from before our relaunch.

Now, we’d like to use it as a sort of url-shortener and tracker for directly linked PDF files we send in our Newsletters.
Is there a way to add google analytics to the plugin so that it fires an event?
Ideally in a way that won’t make future updates implossibly complex 🙂
