Sorry to be a pest with all these questions, but the add link function has stopped working in 6.x. The CAPTCHA does not show up on the page in Chrome (regardless of whether I select Easy CAPTCHA or Google ReCAPTCHA in the Global Settings). And if I try to submit anyway, I get no error message, but the link I’m trying to add doesn’t go through.

The CAPTCHA shows up in Internet Explorer. However, when I attempt to add the link, I still get no error message, but the link still does not show up in links to moderate.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

As a convenience, even if selected as an option, the Captcha does not appear for users who are logged in. It probably shows in Internet Explorer since you are not logged in on that browser.

After you submit a link, does any message appear? Is your library configured to moderate links before they appear? Or do they appear immediately?

Could you send me an export of your library configuration so I can test with the exact same configuration you have? In my quick tests this morning before heading to work, submission still worked correctly, but you may have a specific combination of options that is causing a problem?

Also, to be sure, are you running the latest version?

I am running the latest version. I moderate links, but the links I submit are not showing up on my moderation panel.

How would I send you an export of the library configuration? This page is not providing a file upload option.

You can send it through my personal site contact form: ylefebvre.ca/contact-me

I’m trying to send through your personal site contact form. However, it seems to have gone into an endless little circle going around next to the “Send” button, with no signs that it is going to get around to sending. If there is another way to send (e.g., a personal e-mail address), and you don’t want to give it in public, you could let me know via my contact page at https://benefitsattorney.com/contact/

My e-mail address is actually at the top of the plugin source code πŸ˜‰

I don’t mind it being public: ylefebvre at gmail

I will e-mail you the settings file. However, one clue that may be helpful: Add Link works just fine on those pages with multiple categories, where I have a drop-down list to select the category to which the link is to be added. Where it does not work is on those pages (like the one in the original post) with just one category, where I hide the “Link Category” option in the User Submissions tab and select the sole category for that page as the default category.

Indeed, good detective work. I had missed one spot when I modified Link Library to be able to support multi-select lists for categories last week-end. Drop-down lists still worked, but cases when users don’t get to select the category did not.

It is now corrected in 6.0.38

    That worked–thank you!

Thank you for your patience in going through these issues after this major plugin re-work.
