I would like to use the function to verify your identity on Mastodon. Where can I add the HTML code in the theme file editor?

Hey @itsyt – the best way to do that is with a plugin like Insert Headers and Footers which is made to do exactly that kind of thing – allow you to insert text and meta tags into the Head of the site.

I’d suggest trying that out.
