Hi, I’m filling in for Bas who is away. I found this information that should allow you to add a button to a menu:
To add a MaxButton to the WordPress menu, you can:
- Click the MaxButtons page from the admin menu
- Click the Add New button
- Create and customize your button using the button editor
- Fill out and select the options needed to build your button
- Once you’re ready, click Save
- Add the menu item you want to become a button
- From the WordPress admin panel, go to Appearance > Menus or Customize > Menus
- If you have more than one menu, select the one you want to edit from the list

I see what you mean. Since I have not been able to find any other instructions to do this, then it is probably not possible to add a button to the menu. You can only make a menu item in the menu look like a button by assigning a class to the menu item and then adding custom CSS code to make the menu item look like a button.
