Could you provide some screenshots of what these pages look like on the iPad?
I emailed them directly to you earlier today.
I don’t see any way to attach them to this post.
I noticed there was an update to Link Library this morning.
I checked. But I am still seeing the same thing.
That new version of Link Library was for another issue.
I just responded to you by e-mail:
Two thoughts that come to mind:
– If you were to install the Classic Editor plugin into your WordPress installation, I am pretty sure that you would have the same issue with the Pages editor.
– Are you using any type of font size setting in your browser or in IOS as a whole to see bigger text?
Yannick,
I haven't done anything with fonts.
For bigger text, I would just use a header for bigger text. But I don't do that often.
This surely is weird.
I noticed there was an update this morning.
I looked to see if it cleared the issue.
But I still see the same thing.
Regards, and thanks,
I am not talking about bigger text on the site, but making the text bigger in your browser or IOS settings.
In Safari, if you click on the AA symbol to the left of the web site address, what size text setting are you at? https://www.howtogeek.com/719419/how-to-change-a-websites-text-size-in-safari-for-iphone-and-ipad/#:~:text=To%20get%20started%2C%20open%20the,to%20increase%20the%20text%20size.
And what about at the IOS level? https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT202828
When I checked the aA text size, the slider bar was set in exactly the middle.
Under the IOS level, larger text was set to off.
Did you try installing the Classic Editor plugin and trying to create a new page to see if it looks the same? If it does, then there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. The layout of the content editor is determine by WordPress.
That site has already got too many plugins on it.
I hesitate to add any more for security reasons.
Well, it only does this when I use the option to add a new link.
I haven’t seen it anywhere else.
Fortunately, it doesn’t prevent [or otherwise impact] my ability to add a link. It’s just an eyesore when an administrator is adding a link.
It does not impair the appearance of the site to the site visitors.
Not serious. But I thought you would want to know about it.
I did not mean to add this extra plugin forever, just to run a quick test, then remove it.
I installed the Classic Editor plugin.
But I stll see the same thing when I select ‘Add New Link’!
The test I suggested after installing and activating Classic Editor was to look at what happens if you go to the Pages section and create a new page. Does it look the same?
I misunderstood you. Sorry.
When I went to create a page, the classic editor showed up.
It was fine. There was nothing like what I described in the ‘Add New Link’ option 8n Link Library.
