    Hi,

I have purchased the premium add-on for the fullscreen info-bar. The modal does not work as expected on Mozilla Firefox (32-bit, v 63.0.3) and the user is able to click outside the modal window and continue with the navigation.

Another question: from a compliance perspective, how can one know which users have provided their consent? How can the cookie consents be accessed and/or deleted (if need be).

    Many thanks.

    Best regards,

    Prashansa

    Hi Prashansa,

    Thanks for using our plugins.

Regarding the reported bug on Mozilla, we’ve already started the investigation, and once we have the fixed version, we will send you the fixed version.

We’re planning to extend our extension to track when somebody accept / decline the cookies, this will be included in a future release. The cookies will be deleted once the user disable the strictly necessary cookies.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Prashansa,

We’ve looked into the report about the Mozilla browser, and we concluded that this is expected behaviour.

Just to explain how the plugin currently works:
Screen 1 (Cookie pop-up) – user is not able to click anywhere on the screen, they can only Accept or click on Settings
Screen 2 (Settings) – when they click on Settings, the full Settings screen is open, and user has the following options:
    – Enable some cookies
    – Disable some cookies
    – Not make any changes and click away from the Settings screen (for users who just want to review the settings).

When user clicks Disable cookies or does not want to enable any cookies, they need to be able to close the Settings screen. Otherwise they would not be able to browser your site at all as the Settings screen would not go away until they would accept cookies. This would force them to accept cookies – which is against GDPR.
Users should have a free choice. However, users who disable cookies, will see the pop-up again at the next visit of your website – they will keep on seeing the pop-up until they Accept cookies eventually.

    Hope this helps.
