Thanks for the suggestion, Clifford. I’ve got a paid version of FPW in the works that will have more templates (including date display) and options than the free version available here. It’s in progress, but I don’t have a definitive launch date yet.
You can certainly create a custom output template to accomplish this now. The changes to the code to handle this are pretty small.

I am interested in displaying date for last update on pages (not date published). Preferably as relative dates “one day ago” etc. I am currently using the plugin “Recent post extended” and it has this feature with relative dates. However, it only sorts on date for publication and not on date for last revision. I would be happy to pay for a paid version if you could add this option. How are you doing with the paid version?
To be correct the plugin “Recent post extended” can sort on modified date but only display date published.

Thanks for checking in. Honestly, life has been insanely busy. I haven’t had a chance to tackle any new FPW work for quite some time.
Truthfully, displaying the modified date (instead of the published date) will most likely always be in the realm of a custom template. In my experience, it’s not that common to see modified date displayed.
That being said, FPW already allows sorting by modified date and it would be trivial to create a custom template to display the modified date. If you’re not comfortable with creating the template yourself, I’d be happy to code it for you at a cost. Thanks for your kind offer. However, the Recent Posts Widget Extended now has the feature I was looking for and it works perfectly without the need for any hacking of code (just tick a box). I will use that.
