Make sure you enabled Event Head while adding screenshot. Also check your TimeSlots whether you have selected Event Head among your users.

Are you saying that an Event Head has to be a WordPress user? I’m trying to set up sessions for a conference. I want to add speakers. However, these speakers would never be set up as users with our WordPress.
Can you please confirm?

Yes, the event heads can be selected among WordPress users. You can create users with fake email address and the lowest user-roles if you do not want to provide anybody with access to your site.
