    Is there a short code or method of adding the Password Generator to one post? I don’t want it on every page/post of my site.

    Also, can you set a default to a specified number of characters such as “8” since that’s our required password length.

    There is no shortcode because it’s actually a widget. It’s a password generator, not an access restrictor. To specify 8 characters, you would have to edit the code but it’s not difficult (basically change the 12s to 8s).
