Hi guys,

I have a little problem and I need your help.

Here is my situation – I made a page with multiple divs, which shows up depending on variable in url of the page. The exact example – the ID of page is 6, so the wordpress made url is “?page_id=6”. All I need is get this url in format “?page_id=2?option=one”, so the first div shows up when the page loads. I tried some plugins which redirects page to different URL, but all i got was an error message saying “Too many redirects”.

Have you any idea, how to modify URL of the page like this? I don’t even know how exactly ask google to show correct answers.

You can use the add_query_arg() function to add an argument to a URL.

For example suppose that $old_url contains ‘http://mysite.com/foobar/?page=2’ and you want to add the argument ‘newarg’ with a value of ‘newvalue’. You would code it like this:
```
$new_url = add_query_arg( 'newarg', 'newvalue', $old_url);
```
Then $new_url would contain ‘http://mysite.com/foobar/?page=2&newarg=newvalue’.

thanks for reply. The add_query function work fine, but i need little more help. The problem I’m trying to solve is to get this modified link to main menu of the site. For example… when I create a page “test” the link for the page in main menu will be http://localhost/wordpress/page_id=1. But I need to modify that link, so when someone open “test” in main menu, the page links to http://localhost/wordpress/page_id=1?option=agument. Is there any chance to do that?
