What do you mean by “connect”?

The same way you connect Twitter/Facebook or any other social platform to a website.
Some websites will let you connect your wordpress.COM account but so far it seems you’re out of luck to connect your self-hosted .ORG website. For instance, when I log into my Empire Avenue and say “connect to WordPress”, it gives me a dropdown box where I can select any blogs my wordpress.COM account is selected to. However, my main website which is hosted off of ww.wp.xz.cn is not linked to wordpress.COM hence the problem.
Your self hosted site is completely separate and independent of your wordpress.com sites. You cannot connect to it in the same way from your wordpress.com account.

Byeka,
I’m new here and sure don’t mean to butt in. I use this neat little plugin called Jet-pack. Check it out and see if it fits your needs…
Here is a quote from a statement off their site. “Back in the day there were great features available to wordpress.com users that were not available to the rest of us on self-hosted installs. Jet-pack is a plugin that connects to wordpress.com and and enables awesome features , powered on our cloud infrastructure.”
Hope this helps……..
Hi Mark,
I do have jetpack on my ww.wp.xz.cn blog, but my issue is that I don’t know how to post on other people’s blogs and have my blog show up. There is an option to post with a “username.wordpress.com”. Now I know that ww.wp.xz.cn and wordpress.COM are different. But I do want to network with other bloggers and have a link back to my blog from my post. Help!
ww.wp.xz.cn does not have any kind of network among sites the way WordPress.COM does. Different sites using ww.wp.xz.cn software are not interconnected at all — each one is self-hosted wherever the owner wants to host them.
