Added New Sidebar

I didn’t like the way the default sidebar looked and act with the colored bar,I didn’t see how to delete it, so I just added a sidebar plugin, I added the form code from the autoresponder in the “text widget” clicked on save refreshed my page and nothing appeared.

making changes to the original sidebar went fine i.e,. adding text, changing the color of the “unwanted” bar, if I refreshed the page my changes were immediate.

but using the same processes with the newly added plugin side bar no changes take place
