Adding a basic image scroller on a "page".

Hello, I am not looking for a plugin (unless I need to) but I am wondering if it’s possible to add a form of a image scroller on a page.

For example, a profile page, you have a biography and a photo. I want to know if it’s possible to have multiple photos and be able to scroll through them with a left and right arrow button?

I’ve seen many plugins but they are mainly jquery carousels. I just want a simple way of having three small photos for a Profile page that you can scroll through on a page.
