Adding a new menu item in a block theme?

    I’m usually consulting my friends with WP and their question was what would be the easiest way to add menu items.

    Last year it was extremely easy by going to Appearance > Menus. Now, with the ~forced block themes, it has become absolute rocket science or I haven’t found the right tutorial yet. So far no beginner I know understood how to do that, event me, a slightly experienced user, is baffled.

    I would be extremely grateful for any tips that would explain the quickest way to add a new menu item (for example, a link to a post) for a block theme.
