I am trying to set an merchandise item on our website where the customer would be required to enter essentially a redemption code prior to the customer being able to complete the sale of the item. There would be a redemption code for EACH item that we are selling. It would seem that this would be a variable item but would not have a set color or size. The only variable would be the redemption code that the customer would have to enter prior to the transaction could be completed. Is there a way to set up such an item in WooCommerce?

    Thank you.

    Hi @mc3cats

    Thanks for reaching out!

As I understand, you’re wanting to ensure that customers enter a redemption code for a specific product before purchasing?

If this is correct, is there a reason why you couldn’t use a coupon and restrict it to the specific product? This also works for specific variations:

Thanks and looking forward to your reply!
