I was wondering if it’s possible to add the slideshow to a sidebar. I tried adding the same code that I use to add it onto a page in a text widget. It doesn’t work. It appears just like ordinary text like below:

[cycloneslider id=”name-here”]

I got it 🙂 I just posted the cycloneslider id onto a page previewed it, checked out the source code, copied the relevant part and placed it in a text widget. This topic can be closed as it’s resolved 🙂

Hello lobobrandon,

You can actually add this code in functions.php

add_filter('widget_text','do_shortcode');

That will allow you to use

[cycloneslider id="name-here"]

inside text widgets.
