ADDING A STATIC PAGE QUESTION

Ok it’s not as noobie as it seems.
I am making a set of static pages but I don’t want them to apear in the sidebar, I want them to be reacheable from their direct link only so that I can make a page containing links to these static pages. Does that make sense?

[homepage]
|-static page
|– link 1
|– link 2
and so on.

I thought that marking the page as private would and here the issue:
http://magix.sourceforge.net/?page_id=16

When you click to see the page it says not found. The page exists, however, it’s set as private.
How can I manage to make that page public without making it apear in the sidebar?
